The training

The self-study learning experiences offered by IA-Connections provide optimum results using Web-based delivery. The training is designed to give you control over what you study and the order of study and to prepare you to build your own web site.

The material is developed by folks who each have 20+ years experience in developing and delivering effective Web-based and distance learning.

Web Design Theory

This training is divided into stand-alone topics that can be studied in any order. No software is required. The topics include the following:

This training provides hands on examples in using Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX tools to create web pages. The labs can be studied in any order and include solutions. The topics include the following:

• Using DOCTYPE and meta information (helps search engines)
• Using forms
• Testing for Browser compatibility

Flash Basics with Labs

The Flash training helps you develop the basic skills you will need to create animations that can enhance your Web site. The training requires Macromedia's Flash MX tools. The topics include the following:

• Creating symbols and shapes
• Animating symbols and shapes
• Publishing to the Web

Creating Graphics with Labs

This training helps you develop the basic skills you will need to create graphics that can enhance your Web site. The training requires Macromedia's Fireworks MX tools. The topics include the following:

• Using vector and bitmap graphics
• Working with colors
• Working with text
• Optimizing images for the Web
